Out Camping

The kids love going camping so, before Spring Break is over, we found an available spot at O'Neill Regional Park and went camping.

The older 2 are learning how to set up a tent, make a fire, etc.

Grabbing some wood for our fire.

Heading out to explore around the stream.

The next morning we ate and went off exploring.

Bridge crew.

Such a fun day camping.

Camping Day 2

Wake up! Wake up!

Breakfast time.

Evan wanted to start a morning fire. James just wanted some ice.

What a happy little face!

There's our little campsite.

2 of our deer friends were wandering around this morning.

Just getting herself a drink.

The fam.

We went for a walk, following the road.

If they can climb it, they will.

Ah, a nice fun trip.

Camping at O'Neill Regional Park

We headed out to O'Neill Regional Park to camp out for a night.

We set up our tent and got our tin foil dinners started: ground sausage, carrots, onions, and potatoes.

Aubrey wanted to circle up all the chairs.

No pit fires; only the raised grill so the other kids rounded up sticks for the fire.

Hailey's growing up; she'll be in Young Womens next year.

Evan loves camping. He was super excited to come out here.

Yum!

Our little adventurer.

On our way down to the playground we found 4 deer running around.

We got to watch them for quite some time as they wandered through.

There's the whole family.

James is having a good time over here.

It's really nice that there's a playground here.

This will tire them out.

And some s'mores before bed.

Labor Day Campout

We had to squeeze in one camping trip.

Clarice started the fire with some hot coals and paper.

The campground had a playground.... yea!

Pizza, salad, and marshmallows for dinner.

"I am building a stone thing (altar) so I can pray to God."

Helping make breakfast.

This campground has equestrian camping on site. It was fun to see lots of people trotting around on their horses.

While my husband and sister were competing on the monkey bars what do you think Hailey was doing?

Meet Hailey. I had really strong opinions about the kids not being married too young... I have had a complete change of heart since I have had Hailey. I tell myself all the time that Hailey is a romantic at heart. This is her personality. She was like this in the pre-earth existence. It is hard to accept the truth sometimes. I cannot convince her boys are gross. That didn't work.  I can help her but I cannot control her every move.

Do you see the grip Ethan has got on her hand?
He was a very polite and nice boy.
