Lego Winter Village

The kids didn't want to help build our Lego Winter Village this year, so I did and I finally put it out on the dining room table.

The latest addition for us is the train station.

I actually had the train station last year but since the kids didn't build and play with the other buildings I didn't get the new one out.

But now that the village is all put together, sure now they all want to play with it. There's the toy shop off to the left and the train station on the right.

The motorized train is their favorite. We also have this little train (in the foreground) and the big Christmas tree.

Santa's Workshop and the reindeer-drawn sleigh.

And this little gingerbread house is so cool.

The kids got the Harry Potter advent calendar from Nana this year. Those minifigures and little builds are scattered around the village, like here with the Claus' Christmas feast.

Work Holiday Party

Tonight we went to the Infinity Ward holiday party.

It was really nice; the place was all decked out.

Had to stop by the carving stations and have some delicious shwarma.

Ooh, and the charcuterie board!

Before we left we had some mini donuts and ice cream from the dessert stations.

The belly dancers made the rounds. Here they are in the main ballroom.

Did you notice the floor? I didn't either. It's custom made with the Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare logos. Yeah, they go all out for these parties.

Kids on Tablets

These kids love playing on our Amazon Fire tablets. Even James is obsessed.

They're usually on playing Minecraft.

Dia de los Muertos

As Primary President, Jeni was invited to the Spanish ward's Dia de Los Muertos party.

I love the cool, lacy decorations.

Marshmallow skeletons driven in from Mexico.

The visuals of Dia de los Muertos has such a cool style.

So nice to go to activities with the Spanish ward. Their tamales are so good!

The kids ran around while we finished eating.

Okay kids, time to sit down as the festivities begin.

Love the costume, and she sang some great traditional songs.

James really got into the dancing. Right before we recorded this video he won a prize for his moves!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Going to the Daddy Daughter Dance: 50s themed.

Nice to spend some quality father-daughter time together.
