6 Months Old

New Habits: Yes, thank goodness she had stopped shrieking.....what she is doing instead may be just as awful! Her new favorite thing to do is lick the floor. I don't know why as I am pretty sure my floor doesn't taste very good and she does get fed real food. We have to watch her like a hawk! So far she doesn't have a preference between hardwood, tile, or carpet.

She can sit and pull herself up into a standing position. She is a little over confident because she doesn't think she needs to hold on to anything resulting in several bumps, cuts and bruises...usually on her face.

She can crawl pretty fast and likes to get excited and pant like a little puppy.

Hailey thinks her crib is a fun house!

Steve has been working about 80 hours a week. He is gone before the crack of dawn so I let Hailey stay up until he gets home around 10:00 p.m.. She is a night owl just like her dad. Her face just lights up when she see's him walk in the front door.

Finally....a long overdue nap!

Today we went to the zoo.

She was quite entertained by the bird show. She is very curious and loves to explore her surrounding environment.

Runaway Escapee

Newest Habits:
Hailey has discovered her voice and loves to make these high shrieking sounds just for fun. I tell her all the time it hurts my ears, but she doesn't seem to care. I hope she grows out of that real soon! She also has this fake cough she uses when she wants attention. She looks around to see if anyone is watching her. When she realizes no is....she starts...cough.... wait 2 seconds...and then coughs at least 2 more times. She is fascinated by watching and touching people's faces.

Little Hailey doesn't like to sit still anymore. I put her in her room to play while I took a shower. I heard her making lots of noise so I looked out of the shower and there she was crawling around the hall. She came up to the bathroom doorway, poked her head in, then left to play with the floor heater. I guess it is time to get a gate before she gets into trouble.

Earlier this week she was making a racket while I was getting dressed, so I decided to give her something new to play with that would hold her attention for a few minutes. The closest thing to me was my deodorant and that is what I gave her. Ever since then I have not been able to find it. I have looked and high and low and come to the conclusion I may never see it again. Lesson learned...only give the baby items that can get lost that I don't care about.

Mormon Dodger Night

Tonight we went to Hailey's first baseball game -- the Dodgers v. the Padres.

Hailey, isn't it past your bedtime? Wait, you don't have a bedtime... you don't like to sleep...

It's mine! All mine!

May I have some more please?

Sometimes Hailey has the strangest sense of humor, like thinking pumpkins are the funniest thing she's seen all day.

What is she going to think when we take her to the pumpkin patch? If anyone wants to come we are going to visit Riley's Farm in the fall.
