Happy Birthday Nana!

Watching a movie at Nana's on a beanbag chair on top of the recliner.

Happy Birthday Nana!

Hailey "How old is Nana?"
Me "I don't know. How old do you think she is?"
Hailey "27"
Me "Sounds good to me."

The candy rocket launcher. Shoots candy and small toys way up into the sky. Plenty of candy/toys landed in the neighbor's yard.

It was a little on the loud side.

Evan said "I don't like it."

Hooray! Halloween bags full of treats and Halloween books from Nana!

The kids were so excited!

Broccoli makes your hair grow

Hailey has been showing everyone she meets the new skirts Nana made for her.

Hailey was concerned that the fairies haven't left any gifts at the fairy door since St Patricks Day. She asked me if they died or don't like her.

She even checked to see if their footprints were still there.

Dad helped set the train tracks up before he left for work.

I told Hailey she could have a sandwich or quesadilla for lunch. And she told me she wanted broccoli and quinoa...... unbelievable!

She wanted to show me how long her hair was growing. (I told her eating broccoli will make her hair grow long like Rapunzel.)

While I was practicing the piano Hailey got into my makeup because she wanted to be"fancy".

She did a pretty good job by herself... with no help. Though she did roll up every single tube of lipstick and put the lids back on without rolling them down. Not the end of the world but what a mess.

Busy playing.

Hurricane Harbor

We got to go to Papa Dude's end of the summer work party at Hurricane Harbor. Hurray!

Eating funnel cake.

Watching a movie in the wave pool.

Hailey liked racing Papa Dude on the bamboo racers.

There was no charge for food today so we ate lots and lots of dipping dots ice cream.

As you can see a tiny container of dipping dots normally run $5 a piece.

These two had such a great time!

Tiny frozen balls of ice cream.... Yum.

Sleepover

My little helper.

Hailey was super excited she got to have her first sleepover at Grandma's. She had her bag packed for a whole week before she could go over. Oh... she loved staying up late!

Evan was quite unhappy to stay home with his parents.

No sleepovers yet.

Brussel Sprouts

One night we made broccoli cheese quinoa for dinner. Hailey cried for 15 minutes straight because she didn't want to eat broccoli. After  I told her broccoli would make her hair grow long like Rapunzel she tried  it and claims she loves broccoli now.

Evan saw Hailey crying about it and thought it would be a good idea if he cried too.

A treat for finishing her dinner and trying something new.

Wow! Look at those brussel sprouts!

The kids were in charge of picking them off the stalks.

Staying Cool

It has been in the nineties all week. Hot!

The sandbox lid has turned into a boat.

Dumping water on your head never gets old.

Time for a strawberry snack.

Everyone needs a story after dinner.
