Day Out with Thomas the Train

We have been waiting a few months for this weekend to come our way.

Want to hang out with mass loads of 2-5 year olds?....you're in the right spot.

Time for a stretch.

The easiest way to play miniature golf is to pick up the ball and drop it in the hole.

Apparently this way is overrated.

Wandering through the corn maze.

A quick game of peek-a-boo.

Watching the live reptile show.

Getting ready to board the train.

Hailey thought she would work the video camera.

Enjoying the ride.

Playing with the toy trains at the train tables.

A Special Visit to LAX

Hailey could sit and do crafts all day long if allowed. She has an obsession with scissors.  I have to hide those because she has cut her hair a few times in the past.

Tonight we got to see my sister Kendra on her layover on her way to Hong Kong, then off to Cambodia.

It was a quick visit, but still worth it.

We were so excited to see her.

It was fun to hear her speak a little khmer.

My mom brought treat bags for all the missionaries since they had such a long flight ahead of them.

Many moons later she arrived in Cambodia smiling despite the 100% humidity.

See you in 18 months!

Over The Weekend

Maybe... just maybe one day we will make it through the day without spilling food or drinks on the floor.

The plan for today is to see the cousins to celebrate Sean's upcoming birthday.

But first we stopped at a german bratwurst restaurant to try some authentic sausages.

Time for a Bavarian tater tot.

Then we met up with the family at a indoor Bounce House.

Next time we should have cake before the bounce house, not after!

The little guy had a great time doing jumps and slides with his dad.

Even Nana went down.

Don't worry - she eventually got up.

Aw, sliding with the cousins.

Again Dad! Again!

Just making sure Papa is still alive.

So much fun.

They sneaked in to one of the party rooms and sat on the bounce house throne together.

A few quick shots of the small ones after church.

What a silly little girl.

Sporting his new lederhosen.

9 Months Old and Standing

Evan finally started standing all by himself. He's still pretty self conscious so he has to be distracted in order to let go and keep standing. Good job, Baby!

Lindsey Stirling Concert

Steve really wanted to go to Lindsey's last concert down here but it was sold out... just like this one at the Fonda, but this time we had tickets. They wanted to charge $30 for parking... that's Hollywood for you.

Lindsey has over 1.9 million subscribers on her youtube channel. She has a very distinct style that appeals to  a variety of people. See Lindsey here: https://www.youtube.com/user/lindseystomp

Our former stake president was her mission president in New York.... same mission that Steve served in.

I was expecting tons of young people, but was surpised by how many old people (like my grandparents' age) were there jumping up in the air, rocking out. That was kind of funny to watch.

By the time we picked up the kids and brushed our teeth and were ready to climb in bed in was almost midnight. So very late!

Evan got up to eat and thought it was party time.... and I could barely keep my eyes open.

You know you're getting old when your body can't keep up with staying up after 10:00 p.m.

Bits of Everyday Life

It is always better when they both wake in the morning in good moods. Hailey, by the way, has been so good about sleeping in her own bed.

Sharing stories together...

and sharing Easter candy.

Evan says thank you Hailey.

He got his first two bottom teeth a few weeks ago.

What a smug little look!

Sorry, that probably taste like dirt.

Today Steve was teaching Hailey how to play tennis. Evan wants to play too.

We should call our peach tree fertile myrtle. We finally got around to thinning it out but it still has so much fruit on it.  Delicious!
