Hanging out with the little people

We read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" then made cookies.

We bagged some up to share with our friends. At least that was the intention; one bag got opened and gobbled up.

Between diaper blow-outs and Evan's reflux problems we have to do laundry everyday except Sunday.

Another simple dinner. Chop up some salad.

Mix it.

Eat it on toast instead of in a wrap.

Yesterday we read about Jack and the Beanstalk and the Mean Giant...... and before you know it there is a Giant (doll) in the Calico Critter Chateau.

It was so warm today we had to come back inside and change our clothes because everyone was roasting outside.

Instead of watering the grass like I wanted she wanted to water the street.

So fun.

Evan has been super interested in playing with toys and putting everything possible in his mouth.

Trying to dry her dress out.

Our daffodil bulbs are just starting to sprout.

Hailey has been really fascinated with all sorts of bugs lately so we decided to get a ladybug habitat. Pretty soon we should receive our live ladybug eggs that we will watch hatch and grow.
While we have been waiting for the eggs to arrive we have been catching little bugs we see around outside. I have been telling Hailey that spiders bite so she won't touch them. She woke up in the middle of the night screaming about spiders and wanted the light on. I guess we should be careful not to scare her.

Steve brought this fun puppet home from work. Usually it "eats" fairies and other toys, but today it is eating Hailey's hand.

She is trying to make Evan laugh by using the bear to nip Evan's face.

She finally conked out reading one of our Halloween books that has spiders hidden on every page.

We have been trying to increase our fruit and vegetable consumption... hence lots of green smoothies.

Evan gets really jealous when he sees people eating and drinking. He has a grip like an iron fist. I am not ready to let him eat real food yet, but once in a blue moon he gets a tiny taste of what's to come.

I just know he is going to eat us out of a house of food as soon as he can eat real food.
