Out in Vegas

We drove out to Las Vegas this weekend to Great Grandma Corbett's funeral. Jeni represented the California grandchildren and spoke at the service. She did a great job, though the rest of the Corbett family live around that area and knew Great Grandma much better than Jeni and her siblings.

While we were there, we visited Spring Mountain Ranch, home of the actress Vera Krupp.

At the house, we learned about the 33 carat Krupp Diamond that Vera owned.

Stopping off at Eddie World in Yermo, CA on our way back home.

Our Journey Home

We left the cabin Saturday and stayed at Lauren and Tyler's. After attending the local ward, we hit the road again.

We split the drive home into 3 days, just like our drive up to Idaho.

On the second day, we stopped at Scipio again to visit the animals and fill the car with gas.

All the animals were chillin' just like last time.

It was time well-spent along our journey home.

On our final day, we stopped off at Las Vegas and walked around for a bit, starting with the Venetian.

I like how the inside is made to feel like we're walking around in Venice at dusk.

We passed by the Eiffel Tower.

We walked by the Bellagio fountain, but the kids were hot, bored, and were largely unimpressed with Las Vegas, so we got back in the car and continued home.

A Dip in the Pool

Steve and Scott walked through the hotel to the pool in their robes. The half-dozen people in the elevator seemed pretty surprised.

As Scott would tell people walking by "Look at this art" and then he would open his robe. HA!

Steve going through the shark tank.

Still alive.

He almost got eaten.

Wandering through the Venetian.

Too full from breakfast to get gelato.

We were not going to go to the rodeo so it was time to go home.
We had a great time!

Dinner and a Show

Christmas shopping at the mall... just not at this store.

Like a little kid in a candy store.

Out for malts at Johhny Rockets.

The Mob Museum.

The mob was sending drugs from Italy in tomato cans to fake pizza parlors.

Out for the most delicious steaks we have ever had.

The pool has a shark tank that has a slide going through it.

Getting warm before we head off to see the Sarah Evans Concert.
