American Girl Doll Restuarant Date

The kids have been disappointed that Steve has not been around. They asked me if "dad" lives in our house anymore. SAAAD! I told Steve he needed to take the kids on a one on one date.

We told Hailey the night before she was going on a surprise date with dad to a surprise place.  She asked if they could go to the American Girl Doll Store and her second choice was to a  fancy restaurant.

Making a little stop at Pottery Barn Kids on the way to the American Girl Doll Store. The doll store is located at the Grove shopping center near the farmers market. We are fortunate to be located so close to the only store in the whole state of California.

Hailey has had her eye on this Mary Ellen doll for at least the last 2 years.

It is best to make reservations for the restuarants. If you don't have a doll the restuarant has a wall where you can go pick a doll up to eat at your table. Hailey ran to the wall and snatched the Mary Ellen doll before any of the other girls could even get to the wall.

We bought a target doll a year ago that Hailey earned by reading 100 books. Everything about that doll is fine except the hair is awful cheap nylon hair. Hailey does her dolls hair all the time and it is awful.

I will say Hailey has been very responsible and takes super good care of her dolls. Her doll is almost as much work as James is for me.

Mary Ellen is one of the historical dolls from the 1950's.

Steve said the service and food were great.

You also get to take the little teacup and plate home along with some other little accessories.

This little outing made Hailey's day!
