Hose Happiness

Building and tearing down block castles and towers is a pretty popular game in our house.

Wooden blocks have to be some of the greatest toys ever invented. Many times there is laughing, clapping, and cheering the moment something topples over.

We only have a handful of blocks, which means there are many fights, screaming, and crying over who gets the last one. Evan is learning how to stack things... even though his favorite thing is to destroy anything Hailey and I build.

We ran out of blocks and had to use the camel. We like to have contest to see who can build the tallest tower.

Hailey helped him brush his teeth this morning. He most definitely did NOT appreciate that!

I love to watch them play together. They have been known to get into lots of trouble together.... sometimes I even feel like they are ganging up on me on purpose. Just the same I have to remind myself they act like little children because they are little children. Sometimes you  just have to cut them some slack.

Hailey just realized she got dirt in her mouth.

I asked her if it tasted like cookies; she told me NO!

I always catch Evan in this position when water is around, and I always think to myself, "Wow, that looks uncomfortable."

Just stopped for a few minutes to play in Grandma's backyard.

Little did she know that when she went in the house to use the bathroom she would lose her spot with the shovel.

What a scowl on her face!

Evan says,  you move you lose!

And yet they still want to be friends!

When was the last time you saw someone this content to just sit and eat a pretzel?

He doesn't have a care in the world.

After lunch the kids wanted to play with the hose again.

It has been sunny and warm so the water feels good.

I hear hose water is an acquired taste.

It's a good thing he knows how to run.

He just can't get enough of the hose water.

Hailey thinks it is quite delicious too!

And have some more while you're at it.

 Yep, still looks uncomfortable.

 Running amok together.

Eating chalk. Gross.

Remember how I told Hailey not to get me wet and she attacked me with the hose?

Evan thought it was funny.

She better not do this when she goes to kindergarten!

As Hailey would say, "later gator."
