Goodbye Christmas Tree

Steve has been saving our tree a trip to the beach but we just never made it out. I grew tired of looking at it on the side our house a few months ago so... it had go.

It was cold and windy but we had a good time. It's nice living so close that we can pop over to the beach for an hour or so then come home in just a few minutes.

And there goes our tree.

It was a nice night.

She loves to scream just to hear herself.
Oh, and draw on herself if she gets hold of any pens.

She is happiest outside.

Birthday Sunday

This is Hailey's cousin Brianna who turned 3.

She wanted to have a karaoke dance party.

Meet Steve. Steve just loves babies.

This was the first time we got to meet Kaylee. She has spent the last few months in the hospital trying to grow so she could go home....which she did last week.

Hailey looked like a giant next to tiny 4 pound Kaylee.

She was 1 pound, 12 ounces when she was born.

Hailey is trying to learn how to twist her tongue.

The scrunched up nose is how you know she's really happy.

Strawberry Festival

This is how Steve feels about waiting in long lines.

He's not the only one.

We ate delicious strawberry shortcake.

We went with Judy and my 2 sisters and Judy's fiance and his mother.

Hailey wanted to see the pretty dresses.

She is pretending...she hates when we brush her teeth.

Our peach tree is having a good month.

Hailey got to pick and eat the first ripe peach.

She ate 2 of them and then didn't eat dinner.

I told her I would giver her a nickel if she helped fold the laundry and she was ecstatic.

Steven has been taking headshots of Hailey since she was a baby. It's crazy to see how much she's changed.

Sleepy Sleepy

We were having lunch when all of a sudden she just conked out.

California Science Center

We took a trip to the California Science Center. It was a good, free trip to take with Hailey (all we paid for was parking).

She didn't much care for the exhibits but had a good time in the children's areas playing with the toys.

There was even a kitchen where she could play house.

And play with little silverware and dishes.

Here's her vegetable garden outside.

Back behind the Science Center is the Rose Garden.

There are so many different kinds of roses! So pretty!

This one is called Memorial Day and is the most fragrant rose I've ever experienced!

Play Date

Today Meredith and Jude came over to play. Hailey was pretty excited. Don't mind her crazy hair blowing in the wind.

Hailey isn't quite sure how to play with other kids. Today she figured it meant grabbing onto whatever Jude wanted to play with.

Now you two take turns and share.

Jude brought over a couple of balls to play with. They were new and exciting for Hailey. She had to test this one out... with her tongue.

Sometimes she gets shy and either covers up her face or lifts her shirt up. She acts so coy!
